In 2007, Hamburg based photographer and artist Sönke Lorenzen launched a photo series that was to shape his work: With his “Dockside/Lights of the Harbor” pictures, he presents the Port of Hamburg in an entirely new aesthetic, as a world of fascinating light reflections and avant-garde beauty. Huge tankers resemble like floating works of art, ship‘s sides shine like diamonds. His works transform ships and docks into a realm of light and color.
